Mason Sabre has an expert touch when writing about the deeper, more excruciating emotions that can cripple a pysche.  His characters face challenges both from within and without that force them to be stronger, more resilient than the average person to survive.  His words of the scenes, the happenings, the inner workings of his characters' minds are so vivid and painstakingly written that they evoke clear images for the reader. The page comes alive with whatever Mr. Sabre wants you to see and feel, drawing you into his world and making you live there while the pages are open.

The Forgotten is not for the faint of heart or those that want a light read.  If you want  to delve in a book and enter a another time and place, be touched by the otherworldly and ethereal this is an excellent choice.   While The Forgotten can stand on its own, reading prior Society novels especially Cade, Dark Veil, and Exile (though I recommend highly the complete series) will allow for a fuller experience and understanding.

The Society Saga continues with The Forgotten and it takes you for quite a ride. You would think that a series that has continued through 13 stories would lose a bit of momentum, but author Mason Sabre has a unique ability to keep his readers captivated by this ever growing storyline. With every new addition he continues to bring to life his characters and Stephen Davies is no different. I simply love the way real life struggles are reflected in the conflict between Sabre’s world of Others and Humans. This book had me from the moment I opened it and I couldn’t put it down- there is so much going on in this book I wasn’t able to walk away. There was an intensity of emotion that Mr. Sabre puts into his main character, Stephen Davies, that allows you to see him in a new light. Stephen’s love for his wife, children, friends, and those forgotten victims of Society gives way to his desire to punish those who would inflict pain on the weaker as well as those who do nothing to stop the injustices he sees. I cannot say enough about this series and this author. I highly recommend this book!
With each book in this series Author Mason Sabre has surpassed the one before. But this one, he hit it over the moon. He is one of the greatest storytellers and this one had me spellbound.

I was right there, standing side by side with these characters. He has created a world that you wish was real, so you could spend time there. I was taken through every possible emotion one could go through and loved every minute. His characters have such depth that you truly love them. And, oh yes, some you absolutely despise. His descriptions are such that the picture is immediately in front of you. You could almost swear you have been there.

I went through those moments where I had to stop, and catch my breath, but three seconds later had to picked it back up and keep going. By the end my adrenaline was running so high I’d thought I would burst, I was feeling everything that was going on.

This was one the most amazing, exciting, riveting books I have read in a long time. This author is a master at telling a story that wraps around you and pulls you in, leaving the real world behind.
Once again this author, with an extraordinary talent, has written another instalment to his SOCIETY SERIES, that I couldn't let go of. THE FORGOTTEN is quite simply an unforgettable epic, capturing this reader's attention and imagination from the very first sentence. With vivid descriptions, action aplenty, heartbreaking and comedic moments, Mason Sabre takes his reader on a monumental and unforgettable journey.

THE FORGOTTEN brings the reader back to Exile and the world of Stephen Davies (Nick Mason). It is in this story that Stephen must journey through trials and tribulations that confront him, to truly discover the man he is and the purpose he must fulfil. Throughout this book, it becomes so evident just how much Stephen and Helena truly need each other, both emotionally and physically. It is truly heartbreaking to witness everything that they are experiencing. Such is the power of Mason's words. As you are reading, you are experiencing every emotion, every action, every thought ... everything.

THE FORGOTTEN is a MASTERPIECE. It is not just another book that can be read, put down and then forgotten about. It lingers under your skin, it dwells on your mind, it reaches inside to your heart and makes you feel. You will laugh (not very often though), you will get angry (quite a lot), you will cry (ha ha says Mason). Most of all, you will come away knowing that you have definitely read a story by an author who knows how to deliver and entertain his audience.

Simply superb, terribly traumatic and a magical masterpiece. THE FORGOTTEN is UNFORGETTABLE.
